Job Summary

The Penny Ice Creamery is seeking an exceptional leader to join our team as a Multi-Location Shop Manager in the South Bay. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient daily operations of multiple locations in the South Bay.

Key Responsibilities
  • Train, manage, coach, and discipline staff to uphold expectations of excellence.
  • Ensure smooth daily operations at all times, including scheduling staff and managing labor costs.
  • Communicate with staff regularly, perform weekly check-ins to ensure success, and be the first point of contact for staff inquiries, questions, and concerns.
  • Monitor and manage staff breaks, conduct working interviews to assess potential candidates, and anticipate future staffing needs.
  • Monitor staff adherence to business policies and take corrective actions as needed, and build and maintain a strong, hands-on managerial presence in multiple shops.
Guest Service Management
  • Demonstrate excellence, warmth, and professionalism in all guest service interactions, serving as a brand ambassador for The Penny Ice Creamery and proudly representing the core values of the business.
  • Uphold The Penny Ice Creamery reputation and that of The Gl Jar, Inc., resolving delicate guest service situations with poise and professionalism.
Inventory Management
  • Oversee product quality at multiple locations, conducting weekly paper goods inventory and placing orders as needed.
  • Conduct regular kitchen and ice cream inventories for multiple locations, coordinate deliveries of product across locations using requisition protocol, and monitor & order apron, towel, sanitizer, and soap inventory as needed.
Shops Management
  • Ensure health safety protocols are followed at multiple shop locations, ensuring shop and staff preparedness for impromptu health inspector visits.
  • Oversee daily shop upkeep to maintain an impeccable presentation, maintain and trouble essential equipment, and communicate any major issues to Upper Management.
  • Manage change banks, monitor deposits and cash reconciliation for accuracy, and make cost-cutting and efficiency recommendations to Upper Management based on regular assessment.
