The Financial Compliance Analyst plays a crucial role in overseeing the accounting functions related to government and foundation-funded initiatives. This position ensures adherence to grant and contract regulations while providing insightful reports and solutions that enhance organizational operations.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting is mandatory.
  • A minimum of two years' experience in accounting, reporting, and financial analysis is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is essential.
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills are necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Must be a self-starter capable of independently identifying issues and developing solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Familiarity with accounting software, preferably Accufund, is beneficial.
  • Cultural sensitivity and the ability to engage with a diverse client population are crucial.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining professional boundaries is required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of assigned grants and contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with programmatic, administrative, and financial aspects of grants and contracts.
  • Stay informed about changes in grants and contracts, implementing necessary adjustments promptly.
  • Maximize grant reimbursements through timely invoicing and budget adjustments.
  • Adopt a holistic approach to program management.
  • Provide detailed financial reports to program staff and management.
  • Conduct variance analysis, create financial reporting solutions, and track activities.
  • Participate in the budgeting process and assist with RFPs and contract renewals.
  • Support fiscal and administrative audits by maintaining thorough records.
  • Assist with the A-133 single audit by preparing requested documentation.
  • Generate ad hoc reports as required and undertake special projects as assigned.
