Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Director of FPRA and CFO to create comprehensive annual operating budgets.
- Manage contract refunding applications for government and privately funded programs, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Support the Director of FPRA as a backup Fiscal Officer for Early Childhood Education contracts, providing expertise and guidance as needed.
- Develop and maintain financial reporting capabilities, providing key insights to drive sound fiscal decision-making.
Requirements:
- Ability to interpret and apply accounting theory to transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Proficiency in numerical detail and creating useful management reports, with a focus on budgeting and financial analysis.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders.
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create and manage complex financial models.
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or accounting, with a focus on budgeting and financial analysis.
- 4 years of relevant work experience with government contracts and grants, with a focus on budgeting and financial compliance.
- Budgeting experience related to budget preparation, reporting, monitoring, and shared cost allocation, with a focus on government and privately funded programs.
- Preferred experience in non-profit, healthcare, or education settings, with a focus on grant and/or fund accounting.
