The Patient Accounts Representative is a key member of the Olympic Medical Center team, responsible for ensuring timely and accurate billing of hospital and physician receivables. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform resolution-oriented billing to achieve maximum payment of assigned hospital and physician receivables.
- Complete timely billing on assigned accounts, in a compliant manner.
- Identify trends and their root causes per OMC policies and procedures.
- Maintain an appropriate level of productivity, as defined by department guidelines.
- Complete comprehensive account management review on paid and unpaid accounts to ensure payment is made, applied and posted correctly.
- Monitor and complete all steps necessary to obtain payment and resolution on outstanding balances.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of six months previous clerical experience related to health care insurance billing required.
- None.
- Insurance Plans: Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short Term and Long-Term Disability.
