Job Title: Adjunct Instructor 1

Position Title: Adjunct Instructor 1- Accountancy

Location: Big Rapids (Main Campus)

Department: Accountancy Finance & Info Systems

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor 1 to teach undergraduate accounting courses at Ferris State University. The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in business with an undergraduate degree in accounting or a Master's degree in accounting. A minimum of five years of relevant in-field experience is required, along with certifications in specific areas such as CPA or CMA.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach undergraduate accounting courses
  • Assess student learning outcomes for their courses
  • Participate in program assessment activities under the guidance of tenured/tenure-track faculty
  • Deliver face-to-face, blended, and/or online modes of delivery
  • Assure/improve learning through assessment
  • Close consultation with program faculty, as well as training via the Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in business with an undergraduate degree in accounting or a Master's degree in accounting
  • Minimum of five years of relevant in-field experience
  • Certifications in specific areas such as CPA or CMA
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Teaching experience
