Position Overview:
The Garland County Environmental Services Department is seeking a dedicated Fleet Maintenance Specialist. This role is crucial for ensuring the upkeep of our fleet, facilities, and equipment across various locations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Engage actively in our preventative maintenance program to minimize repair costs and equipment downtime.
- Conduct general maintenance tasks for fleet vehicles and other operational equipment.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
- At least three (3) years of experience in fleet management, landfill operations, or a related field.
- Comprehensive knowledge of both heavy and light equipment operations and mechanical systems.

Licensing Requirements:
- A valid Commercial Driver's License is mandatory.
- Candidates must be willing to pursue a Class IB and 2B Solid Waste Landfill Operator's License within two years of employment.

Skills:
- Proficient in operating various equipment and familiar with computer programs.
- Strong communication skills, particularly in interactions with colleagues and via 2-way radio.

Additional Requirements:
- Ability to interpret and adhere to manufacturer's maintenance guidelines.
- Capability to follow oral instructions accurately.
