Behavioral Health Team Member

Serving more than 10,000 Georgians, River Edge continues to be one of the state's leading resources for mental health, substance use disorder treatments and supports as well as individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The full continuum of River Edge Behavioral Health services provides state-of-the-art treatment and support services for more than 13,000 children, youth, families, and adults annually, who experience mental illness, addiction, co-occurring disorders, or developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities:- Act as client advocate in order to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations.
- Collect information about clients through interviews and observations.
- Utilize skills trainings with clients in both individual and group sessions in order to help them overcome deficiencies, recover from illness, and better adjust to life.
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge.
- Ensure confidentiality of records relating to client's treatment.
- Evaluate client's physical or mental condition based on a review of information.
- Monitor, evaluate, and record client progress according to measurable goals described in the treatment and care plans.
- Ensure safety and security of clients and co-workers. Must have good knowledge of agency safety policies and procedures.
- Complete documentation via electronic medical record (EMR) in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in related field and two years of experience, preferred, or a Master's degree in a related field. Alternatively, one year of experience at a lower level or equivalent position.
- Comply with continuing education requirements. Examples include: Mindset CPR/FA/AED, Essential Learning, and others as required.
- Display excellent interpersonal skills, enabling observation, recording, and reporting deviations in patient conditions.
- Possess effective communication skills, both in-person and written, necessary to ensure quality patient care.
- Ability to lift up to 16-20 pounds when needed.
Estimated Annual Salary: $45,000 - $65,000
