Behavioral Health Care Specialist

At River Edge Behavioral Health, we are seeking a skilled Health Service Technician to join our team. As a Behavioral Health Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our clients.
About the RoleThis is a full-time position that requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for taking vital signs, bathing, grooming, and dressing clients as needed, preparing clients for treatment or examination, feeding clients who require assistance, and transporting clients to unit areas using a wheelchair if necessary.
You will also conduct recreation and socialization activities for clients, drive a company vehicle, and maintain your Defensive Driving certification. Additionally, you may be assigned to provide group training to clients on wellness and recovery tools, assist with admissions and discharges, and perform other duties as required.
Schedule and AvailabilityThe shift for this position is 10am-6pm, with a varied schedule that includes Monday-Thursday and Saturday-Sunday one week, and Tuesday-Friday the next week, with Saturday-Sunday off. We are looking for someone who is flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances.
Requirements and QualificationsTo be considered for this role, you must have a high school diploma or GED certification and complete any required certifications, including CPR/FA/AED, CPI Defensive Driving (if assigned), various safety trainings, Essential Learning courses, and any other courses or certifications assigned by the company. You should also possess knowledge of simple nursing care, first aid, personal care, and hygiene basics.
A strong understanding of interpersonal skills is essential, as you will be interacting with clients, co-workers, and others. You must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
Compensation and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this position is $45,000-$55,000 per year, depending on experience.
