Compensation Overview
  • Hourly Rate - $18, along with the following incentives.
  • Commission Structure - Earn 5% on all Full Service Catering Sales.
  • Work Schedule - Approximately 15 to 20 hours per week, with potential for increased hours based on catering needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • This role will report to the General Manager or Operating Partner.
  • Engage with local businesses, hotels, and educational institutions bi-weekly to distribute menus and promote catering services. Focus on acquiring new catering and large order clients, maintaining follow-ups through a customer database.
  • Enhance existing proposals, follow-up communications, and sales scripts.
  • Monitor and document progress using the Catering System and spreadsheets.
  • Offer complimentary food sampling experiences to prospective clients, such as a lunch for eight.
  • Manage all catering-related documentation, ensuring current processes are utilized and new procedures are developed.
  • Transition all paperwork to electronic formats, including quotes and follow-up letters.
  • Collaborate with the operating partner on marketing strategies for the catering division.
  • Maintain clear communication with catering team leaders and the operating partner.
  • Facilitate a weekly update meeting and maintain a log of activities.
  • Communicate effectively with the management team regarding all catering and bulk order details.
  • Utilize tripleseat software to track and manage catering leads. On catering days, assist the team with setup and cleanup as necessary.
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients placing catering orders. Within three days post-catering, send a 'Thank You' note and follow up with a phone call.
  • Document all activities in the catering system.

Qualifications
  • Experience in catering sales or a similar field is preferred.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
  • Proven capability to establish and nurture client relationships.
  • Familiarity with the hospitality and catering industry.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel locally.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and online navigation for sourcing and communication.
