POSITION OVERVIEW
The role involves partnering with Employee Benefit Brokers and Consultants to devise and implement client-focused strategies. This position oversees a portfolio of clients and leads a diverse service team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demonstrates proficiency in all aspects of Client Management;
  • Serves as the primary contact for a designated client portfolio;
  • Develops and presents long-term strategic plans to clients;
  • Oversees client financial matters, including renewal negotiations;
  • Prepares and delivers renewal proposals or marketing strategies to Executives, Boards, or Public Sector Committees;
  • Guides clients through the decision-making process with strategic insights;
  • Ensures all client deliverables are met by the service team;
  • Manages and organizes client schedules for the service team;
  • Leads the service team in executing strategic plans, renewals, or marketing initiatives;
  • Effectively manages and mentors team members, fostering collaboration and high performance;
  • Understands the nuances of Alliant's various business sectors, such as Healthcare and Public Sector;
  • Engages in collaborative selling processes, including finalist interviews and RFP submissions;
  • Exhibits comprehensive knowledge in areas such as Underwriting, Compliance, Cobra, TPAs, FSAs, and HSAs;
  • Acts as a subject matter expert, assisting team members in resolving complex challenges;
  • Selects insurance carriers for solicitation and negotiates terms regarding benefits and premiums;
  • Responsible for fee collection, reconciliation, and resolving outstanding balances within 60 days of invoicing;
  • Adheres to agency management system standards and ensures data integrity;
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and relevant experience

Minimum of eight (8) years of related professional experience

Valid insurance license required

Must fulfill Continuing Education requirements for license renewal

In-depth knowledge of Employee Benefit products and administration

REQUIRED SKILLS
Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities

Strong customer service orientation

Excellent presentation skills, capable of leading open enrollment sessions

Effective problem-solving and time management capabilities

Ability to collaborate within a team environment and promote teamwork

Strong organizational and prioritization skills

Comprehensive understanding of self-insurance and alternative funding models

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
