Job Title: Facilities Director

Colonial Downs + Rosie's Gaming Emporium is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Director to manage, direct, and coordinate the activities of facility and ground maintenance and repair staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating major repairs, renovations, or new facilities projects of the Rose Gaming Resort.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent guest service experiences to both internal and external guests.
  • Establish effective communications to maintain a constant flow of information downward, upward, and laterally, and establish an atmosphere that ensures a favorable gaming experience for players.
  • Perform daily walk-throughs (interior and exterior) of casino property identifying, addressing, and correcting deficiencies to ensure standards are maintained in facility maintenance and appearance.
  • Manage the day-to-day maintenance operation of the property to develop an environment that creates an exciting fantasy world of fun, chance, and possibility for our guests and team members.
  • Adhere to, and enforce, policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements, safety protocols, internal controls, Company policies and procedures, and organizational goals.
  • Model, promote, monitor, and assure workplace safety throughout the property.
  • Supervise Supervisors with executive and administrative direction and control to maintain reliability, functionality, and efficiency of built environment.
  • Plan, organize, direct, and control all construction and special projects performed with in-house forces and/or outside contractors.
  • Ensure procurement guidelines are followed in the sourcing of goods or services.
  • Ensure that proper maintenance practices are followed on key operating equipment of the facility and schedules the timing of maintenance or upgrade work with the appropriate internal and external resources.
  • Assist with property needs analysis and make recommendations for corrective measures.
  • Coordinate contractor work for maintenance projects and other renovation needs.
  • Perform other special projects and duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

The Facilities Director will directly supervise multiple management and supervisory staff members. The successful candidate will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Facilities, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • Eight (8) years of facilities management experience preferably within a hospitality environment supporting 150,000 sq ft or more.
  • Five (5) years of increasingly responsible supervisory and management experience.
  • Five (5) years of successful experience as a supervisor or manager, caring for a multi-building commercial (not residential) property and experience operating chiller plants.
  • Three (3) years of successful experience with 4000 amp or greater electrical service in a 24/7 environment that also incorporates UPS systems for key activities (IT room) and a back-up generator for the rest of the facility.
  • Record of successful supervision of front-line Technicians for at least five (5) years.
  • Record of successfully supervising or managing a department or business function with increasing administrative responsibilities as measured by meeting budget responsibilities, hiring and maintaining proper staffing levels, ensures staff is trained and qualified in their areas of expertise.
  • Record of success in meeting objectives through directing the work of subordinates.
  • Record of timely completion of projects and work with increasing responsibilities for outcomes in time frames of multiple quarters up to a single fiscal year.
  • Demonstrated capability in learning and applying knowledge in an automated environment.
  • Facilities Management certification preferred.
  • Must possess excellent guest service skills and be a self-starter with the ability to follow up and complete tasks in a timely manner with minimum supervision.
  • Proficient in the use of computers, Microsoft Office Suite Software, and Enterprise-specific programs.
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Must have a valid and clean driving record.
