Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Anatomic Path Support Representative I to join our team at Quest Diagnostics Incorporated. As a key member of our pathology support team, you will provide general support for the Anatomic Pathology function, ensuring the highest level of quality and accuracy in our laboratory services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide general support for the Anatomic Pathology function, including filing and retrieval of slides, electronic recording of slides into Laboratory Information System (LIS), and mail handling and distribution within the department.
  • Store laboratory records according to established record management protocol and may load/unload slides onto the Focal Point instrument.
  • Print/Collate History Match and manage process for requesting recuts, special stains, and immunohistochemistry stains.
  • Participate in QA/QC support activities and may contact clients to request additional information.
  • Handle incoming calls, responding in a professional and timely manner, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • 1-year related experience preferred.
  • Ability to stand and work at the bench for long periods of time, frequent walking and/or standing, and may be required to use a wide variety of manual tools and laboratory instruments and apparatuses.
  • Knowledge of basic computer functions and Quest LIS knowledge is desirable.
  • Data Entry skills, good clerical, organizational, phone, and communication skills.
Education and Certifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required).
