About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Unit Coordinator. As a Unit Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and coordinating the delivery of nursing care in our 18-bed Short Stay/Observation Unit. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing staff in the Short Stay/Observation Unit
  • Coordinate the delivery of nursing care, including patient assessments, care planning, and implementation
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care
Requirements:
  • Current RN licensure in Virginia or North Carolina
  • Minimum 18 months of nursing experience, preferably in a medical-surgical setting
  • BSN degree required; Master's degree preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
