Odell Medical Search is seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist - Operating Room to join their team at a large hospital in Temple, Texas.
About the Role:The Intraoperative Radiologic Technologist will perform intraoperative procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients under the general supervision of a Radiologist. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a high level of quality and productivity.
Responsibilities:- Perform high-quality radiology procedures, following established protocols and maintaining production and quality of imaging procedures.
- Utilize AIDET when communicating with patients to ensure correct exams are performed and establish rapport with patients and others.
- Prepare patients and areas for procedures by positioning patients, adjusting immobilization devices, and maintaining equipment and work areas to meet quality and cleanliness standards.
- Protect patients and employees by adhering to safety requirements, infection-control, drug, and radiation policies, protocols, and techniques.
- Ensure individuals are safe to enter the department by screening them according to approved policies and procedures.
- Maintain medical imaging records in appropriate systems and according to department policies and standards for interpretation in a timely manner.
- Graduate of an accredited program.
- Less than 1 year of experience.
- ARRT-R Radiography certification required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire or transfer.
- Licensed by the State of Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT).
