Position Overview:
The Salvation Army USA Southern Territory is seeking an Administrative Clerk to facilitate the efficient functioning of our office. This role encompasses a range of clerical and administrative tasks essential for maintaining smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Execute various clerical duties and administrative tasks to support office operations.
- Organize meetings and assist in the coordination of special events.
- Process routine paperwork, including filing and copying, to ensure effective office management.
- Answer phone calls and provide general information regarding office functions.
- Act as a liaison between supervisors, officers, and staff by sharing and gathering relevant information about departmental operations.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Familiarity with general office practices and procedures.
- Proficient in record-keeping and bookkeeping methods.
- Strong command of the English language, including grammar and punctuation.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Ability to quickly learn and effectively use specific software applications, including MS Office and internet tools.
- Capacity to maintain an organized filing system for timely retrieval of documents.
- Excellent telephone etiquette and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Capability to follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and work independently with minimal supervision.

Education and Experience:
- A high school diploma or G.E.D. is required, with additional secretarial training preferred.
- Two years of experience in a clerical role within an office environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to meet attendance standards and communicate effectively in English.
- Competence in performing basic mathematical calculations and entering data into a computer.
- Skills in sorting and filing documents both alphabetically and numerically.
- Proficiency in operating standard office equipment, including telephones and computers.
- Ability to focus on tasks while managing interruptions from phone calls or in-person inquiries.
- Capability to lift and carry light materials (less than 25 lbs.) as needed.
