About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Plant Operator to join our team in Amherst, NY. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and productive operation of our manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain diversified equipment for the manufacture of products in an assigned department within production.
  • Ensure the service and quality of products on the production floor, covering a wide range of activities including manufacturing, inspection, and packaging.
  • Work in a variety of areas, including wet mixing, dryers, acid treat rooms, jet mills, continuous ball mills, kilns, vacuum hot presses, furnace rooms, roll crushers, coatings, and powder processing.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic computer skills, including ERP System (QAD) and MS Word and Excel proficiency.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to interact with others and work as part of a team.
  • Ability to learn and perform all duties required of the position.
  • Ability to accurately and efficiently read, understand, and execute all work orders.
Working Conditions

This position requires flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including 12-hour rotating shifts. Candidates must be available for both days and nights, as well as weekends. At times, overtime is required.
