Key Responsibilities- Lead and Manage a Successful Culinary Production Operation: Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring efficient and sanitary food production, and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Oversee Culinary Operations Department: Manage a team of culinary staff, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure excellent performance and teamwork.
- Adhere to Food Safety Guidelines: Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment for staff and customers.
- Manage Menu Development, Inventory, Ordering, and Training: Develop and implement menus, manage inventory, and oversee ordering and training programs to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
- Collaborate with the Director of Food & Beverage: Work closely with the Director to develop and implement training programs, schedules, and other initiatives to support the culinary team.
- Evaluate Employee Performance and Provide Mentorship: Regularly evaluate staff performance, providing constructive feedback and mentorship to support growth and development.
- Maintain Integrity in Vendor Relations and Stock Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of ingredients and supplies.
- Culinary Arts Degree or Certification: Possess a degree or certification in culinary arts, with 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Minimum of 2-5 Years of Culinary/Kitchen Management Experience: Proven experience in managing a kitchen, with a strong understanding of food trends, quality, and presentation.
- Knowledge of Food Trends, Quality, and Presentation: Stay up-to-date with the latest food trends, ensuring high-quality dishes that meet customer expectations.
- Experience in Batch Cooking or High-Volume Food Production: Possess experience in batch cooking or high-volume food production, with a strong understanding of food safety and sanitation.
- ServSafe Certification: Hold a valid ServSafe certification, demonstrating a commitment to food safety and sanitation.
This role involves exposure to hot kitchen equipment, noise, and physical demands such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
CompensationThe annual salary estimate for this position is $68,000, with a comprehensive benefits package.
