Critical Care Nurse Specialist Opportunity
At Johnston-Willis Hospital, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intermediate Care Unit team. This role offers the chance to deliver exceptional patient care while collaborating with a diverse healthcare team in a critical care step-down unit.

About the Role:
In this position, you will provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients managing acute and chronic conditions. Your responsibilities will include providing patient-centered care, monitoring heart rhythms, titrating medications, and using critical thinking to manage patient care. You will also coordinate with a multi-disciplinary team to create and implement individualized care plans, utilizing computerized systems to document and record patient conditions effectively. Additionally, you will participate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions for patients and adopt a cultural and diversity awareness approach when engaging with patients, families, colleagues, and visitors.

Salary and Benefits:
We offer an estimated salary of $83,000 per year, based on experience, plus a comprehensive total rewards package that emphasizes your health, life, career, and retirement. Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need a degree from an accredited nursing school (BSN preferred), current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or a Current Multistate Compact License, and at least one year of experience in medical-surgical nursing within an acute care setting. You must also hold current Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) Certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
