The Government Insuring Loan Specialist is responsible for reviewing FHA, VA, and USDA loans for endorsement and guarantee. This role involves communicating with various departments for missing documents or rejected case binder items and corresponding with investors as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Review all documents for accuracy to facilitate lender insure and guarantee.
- Incorporate documents into the HUD case binder when HUD requests endorsement.
- Research the imaging system for legal and missing documents.
- Ensure all corrected and missing documents are uploaded into the imaging system.
- Prepare FHA/VA loans for shipment upon request and monitor endorsements.
- Correct notice of reject or suspended files when returned from all agencies.
- Update the LOS with pertinent information.
- Recreate files when necessary.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Minimum of one year working experience with mortgage loan documents.
- Experience with Government Insuring, Shipping, and/or Warehousing a plus.
- Experience with Government Loans a must.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with government agency guidelines a plus.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
- Well-organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Demonstrates strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Works well with others.
- Strong PC skills (MS Office products) and experience with mortgage origination systems.
