REPORTS TO:
Lead Accountant

Primary Function:
Conduct accounting operations in compliance with U.S. GAAP, ensuring that all transactions are recorded accurately and appropriately. Analyze, develop, and report on plant performance metrics to management for comparison against planned and projected outcomes. Engage in month-end and year-end closing activities as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:
Assist in the creation of precise and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial statements.

Forecasting and Budgeting:

Collaborate across various plants within Texture & Healthful Solutions to monitor trends and prepare monthly forecasts and periodic budgets, focusing on plant-specific expenditures, including depreciation and permit costs.


Account Reconciliations:
Generate monthly account reconciliations promptly to ensure adherence to internal control policies.

Audit Activities:
Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual Sarbanes-Oxley compliance testing. Collaborate with internal and external audit teams by providing necessary documentation related to accounting activities.

Business Process Procedures:

Ensure that Business Process Procedures (BPPs) are documented and up-to-date for all job functions, complying with internal control standards.


Fixed Asset Management:

Support plant locations in the appropriate routing and approval of capital projects by accurately tracking project progress, expenditures, and timely completions.


Toll Accounting:
Record and/or review activities at toll manufacturing sites to ensure accurate reporting of production and consumption. Accrue tolling fees as necessary, summarize activities, analyze monthly variances, and establish standard costs for tolled products.

Agility and Innovation:

Analysis:
Conduct analyses for T&H Plants to proactively identify and communicate issues related to grind, yield, and production reporting.

Account Analysis:
Perform analyses on various spending accounts within T&H to proactively identify and communicate financial concerns.

Ad-Hoc Projects:

Available to engage in special projects focused on accounting, financial analysis, forecasting, reporting, and capital as required.


Relationships and Collaboration:


Develop Relationships – Cultivate and maintain collaborative relationships across all units and functional managers to ensure accurate and timely reporting of plant performance.


Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
0-3 years relevant experience
Demonstrated understanding of fundamental accounting principles applicable in manufacturing and business contexts
SAP experience preferred
Experience with PowerSteering or capital software preferred
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Understanding of Inventory and Fixed Assets
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage with various organizational levels
Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Willingness to travel as necessary
