About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Blood Collection Specialist to join our team at the American Red Cross. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient collection of blood donations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with our team to transport and set up equipment at collection sites in local communities.
  • Create a welcoming and comfortable environment for volunteer donors, fostering a positive experience that encourages repeat donations.
  • Follow all safety procedures while collecting lifesaving blood donations, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements and can be safely transfused.
  • May drive Red Cross vehicles and assist with setup and teardown of equipment at donation sites.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are essential.
  • A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
  • DOT certification may be required in some locations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.).
  • Prior leadership experience.
