Avera is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our Hospital Laboratory team. As a valued member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to our mission of Moving Health Forward.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection following approved techniques and policies.
  • Organize specimen collection requests and perform patient clinical laboratory specimen collection procedures.
  • Transport, process, and test specimens, as well as perform point-of-care testing procedures.
Work Schedule:

Rotate Days and Evenings - Must be able to work all four shifts:

  • 4:00 am - 12:30 pm
  • 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
  • 12:00 pm - 8:30 pm
  • 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm

Rotate every 3rd Weekend (Sat & Sun) and every 3rd Holiday. Additional pay available for hours worked before 7am and after 7pm, and all weekend shifts.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Six months to one year related experience and/or training is preferred.
  • Certification as a Phlebotomist Technician (PBT) from the ASCP is preferred.
