Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Ophthalmology Technician to join our team at Emerson Clinical Research Institute (ECRI). As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for conducting clinical research studies in community clinics, working with patients, and supporting the development of new medical treatments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting clinical research studies, including BCVA, OCT, FA, and other procedures
  • Managing clinical research protocols, recruiting and educating patients
  • Working closely with pharma sponsor clinical research professionals
  • Ensuring adherence to ECRI's Standard Operating Procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Developing case report forms and data entry

Requirements:

  • Bilingual English and Spanish
  • 2 degree or equivalent in health-related field of study
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Ophthalmology Technician
  • Ability to utilize computer applications, such as Microsoft Office or other web-based systems
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills with a strong customer service focus

Working Conditions:

This position involves direct contact with patients and includes performing phlebotomy procedures, as needed. Occupational Health and Safety Risks include potential exposure to blood borne and airborne pathogens, thus candidate must ensure to always use universal precautions when handling biological samples, and supplies.
