Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and bilingual Personal Banker to join our team at Midland States Bank. As a Personal Banker, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to our diverse clientele, providing expert advice on consumer and business products and services, and identifying referral opportunities to drive sales and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their financial needs and providing tailored solutions to meet their goals.
  • Provide expert advice on consumer and business products and services, including loans, deposits, and investment products.
  • Identify and pursue referral opportunities to drive sales and growth, leveraging your knowledge of bank systems and consumer loans.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives, sharing best practices and expertise to drive business results.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience in a banking or financial services environment.
  • Broad knowledge of bank systems, consumer loans, and deposit accounts.
  • Cash handling and customer service background, with a proven track record of providing exceptional customer service.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in both English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers in both languages.
  • National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008.
