Job Overview

The Mortgage Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a crucial role in the recruitment process, reporting directly to the Talent Acquisition Team Manager. This position is responsible for the comprehensive lifecycle of professional recruitment, which includes the formulation and implementation of strategic hiring plans through research, outreach, candidate evaluation, and offer negotiations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Consultation: Collaborate with senior leadership and HR partners to devise and execute targeted recruitment strategies that align with organizational talent needs.
  • Search Execution: Develop and implement search strategies, including candidate assessment criteria, sourcing methodologies, and proactive outreach to build a diverse candidate pool.
  • Effective Communication: Maintain consistent and proactive communication with hiring managers and candidates to ensure a positive experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Resource Management: Prioritize tasks and manage expectations with stakeholders, addressing potential challenges and reallocating resources as necessary.
  • Innovative Sourcing: Utilize both passive and direct sourcing techniques to identify and attract prospective candidates, continuously seeking new methods to enhance the talent pipeline.
  • Talent Assessment: Rigorously evaluate candidates and provide hiring recommendations based on thorough assessments.
  • Market Research: Conduct industry research to inform talent acquisition strategies and support workforce planning initiatives.
  • Negotiation Expertise: Work alongside Compensation Managers to effectively manage hiring negotiations, including compensation packages and relocation considerations.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Partner with legal teams to ensure compliance with candidate agreements and oversee the completion of necessary documentation.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external recruitment vendors and ensure alignment with company standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Talent Acquisition peers to share insights and best practices in recruitment methodologies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on recruiting best practices and maintain a deep understanding of client business strategies.
Candidate Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in recruitment.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional recruiting experience, with at least 2 years focused on full lifecycle recruiting.
  • Demonstrated ability to attract and hire executive-level talent, including experience in complex offer negotiations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior leaders and high-caliber candidates.
  • Proven track record of developing strategic recruiting plans and executing them successfully.
  • Ability to navigate challenges and manage expectations proactively.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills, with a focus on delivering results.
