Job Summary

The Office Support Specialist will assist the Executive Director/Clinical Director and Business Manager with routine clerical/office and computer-related tasks, including filing, shredding, and data entry, as well as processing workflow tasks as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist ED, CD, PCM, and Office Manager with routine clerical/office tasks, answer telephone calls, record messages, and deliver messages.
• Create patient Admit/ROC/Recert packets as needed.
• Pull, review, and follow up on reports of orders recert and unverified visits.
• Assist in the referral to admission process as needed.
• Respond timely to all communication.
• Maintain an up-to-date medical record by scanning documents timely and completing EOE audits as appropriate.
• Complete Discharge chart reviews, perform Medicare Claims Audit and EOE for non-Medicare clients.
• Review and process workflow as appropriate and assigned.
• Process orders to/from physician and track for timely receipt.
• Communicate professionally within the organization and with external sources (physicians, patients, family members, referral sources, etc.).
• Perform scheduler duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must have computer skills, clerical-business machine skills, telephone communication skills, and be able to type.
• Must possess general clerical skills and organizational skills.
