Job Title: Maintenance Training Manager

Harmoniq Residential is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Training Manager to lead our hiring, onboarding, and training of maintenance team members. This role will oversee our maintenance internship, summer help, and flex scheduling programs, ensuring seamless integration with our property management and onsite maintenance teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hiring: Communicate maintenance needs to our People Services Team, perform initial phone screens, conduct interviews, and work with Property Management teams to determine hours and budget for each property.
  • Onboarding: Perform new maintenance employee onboarding, conduct site walks, and schedule time with our Afterhours & Emergency Service Manager to address afterhours considerations.
  • Training Schedules: Create training schedules, assess skills and aptitude, audit training initiatives, and develop scope development expectations.
  • Internship Program & Summer Help Scheduling: Lead our Internship Program, attend career fairs, manage Summer Help Program, and analyze coverage needs.
  • Flex Scheduling: Analyze coverage needs, work with Property Management teams, and provide creative solutions for additional time and coverage.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of maintenance-related experience.
  • A minimum of one year of customer service experience and two years of apartment leasing experience or a combination of accounting skills/education with customer service experience.
  • Strong attention to detail, great communication skills, and sales ability.
  • Demonstrate ability to support and contribute to a community team.
  • Highly organized and capable of meeting strict deadlines.
  • Able to undertake multiple projects, manage shifting priorities, and handle a heavy workload.
  • Fair Housing Certification, willingness to obtain prior to interacting with prospective residents.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite, specifically in Excel.
  • Competence in accounting software and property management software (Resman) preferred.
  • Familiar with database and project management software such as Smartsheet.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, and sometimes on call for resident emergencies.
