About the Role

As a Maintenance Shift Manager at Air Wisconsin Airlines, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our regional airline. You will be responsible for leading a team of maintenance personnel to achieve superior results in maintenance productivity, while also ensuring compliance with FAA, OSHA, TSA, and EPA regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster a safety-first culture within the maintenance department, promoting a culture of safety and adhering to all regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules to ensure reliable airworthy aircraft, while also maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Base Manager to plan and maintain assigned budgets for the maintenance facility and operations.
  • Ensure all team members are properly trained in the use of all equipment and procedures, maintaining proficiency, currency, and operational demands.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to direct reports to further advance their effectiveness and career development.
  • Assist Crew Chiefs on operational and personnel issues, ensuring efficient scheduling of personnel and use of assigned resources to provide maximum productivity.
  • Facilitate and coordinate maintenance operations within the assigned facility, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Administer the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, ensuring accurate records are maintained and various maintenance reports and summaries are prepared.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in aviation maintenance or engineering or equivalent.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant license.
  • Two to four years supervisory experience in a union environment in FAR Part 121 Air Carrier operations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BS degree in Aviation Maintenance Management.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Dexterity and interpersonal skills.
  • Communication skills.
