Key Responsibilities
  • Classroom Support: Assist with organization of classroom activities, adapt and modify activities using a multi-sensory approach, and encourage socially acceptable behavior.
  • Participant Care: Provide consistent reinforcement to learning and continuous feedback for all learning activities, enforce classroom rules with clearly defined rewards and/or consequences, and provide prompt and professional care for participants' physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Logistics and Administration: Escort participants to designated activities, perform housekeeping duties in the classroom, and assist with special events as needed.
Requirements
  • Personal Qualities: Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, active member of a Bible believing and preaching ministry.
  • Training and Experience: Completion of PBC provided training for working with special needs attendees.
  • Scheduling and Availability: Ability to work Sundays and Wednesday evenings as scheduled, and participate in church-wide special events as needed.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to perform physical activities that require moving one's whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and lifting up to 30 pounds without assistance.
