We are seeking to appoint a key associate to our Strategic Finance Team. In this role, you will take charge of financial forecasting, business collaboration, and analytical tasks to facilitate informed decision-making. Your contributions will be pivotal in constructing and refining the corporate financial model while formulating strategies to influence our business trajectory. As an early-stage member of the strategic finance division, you will play a crucial role in establishing the finance organization's foundation, serve as a thought leader for our business collaborators, and engage regularly with company executives.
Key Responsibilities- Translate intricate financial data into practical insights, develop and sustain financial models, evaluate emerging trends and initiatives, and conduct ad-hoc modeling and analysis as necessary.
- Enhance, maintain, and refine the forecasting precision of the corporate financial model.
- Act as a financial resource for business partners, assisting with projects such as ad hoc modeling, ROI assessments, and overall budget variance analysis.
- Support the preparation of board presentations, investor communications, executive reports, and fundraising activities as required.
- Establish forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes, along with the financial systems framework.
- Ensure the accuracy of reports prior to the final monthly close in collaboration with accounting stakeholders.
- Facilitate the annual planning and quarterly budgeting processes.
- Advise senior executives on financial performance, key performance indicators (KPIs), and identify potential areas for enhancement.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or financial planning and analysis (FP&A) within a high-growth startup environment.
- Solid understanding of the three financial statements and the impact of business decisions on each.
- Highly organized with a proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- A forward-thinking, innovative, and intellectually curious approach that can elevate the team's potential.
- Demonstrated capability to cultivate trusting relationships with business partners and present insights to executives.
- A meticulous work style that can analyze detailed numbers while also considering the broader context.
- Experience with financial planning software and ERP systems such as Anaplan or Netsuite.
- Exceptional proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets; comfortable working with large datasets.
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools, and knowledge of SQL or another analytics language/tool is advantageous.
