Flight Test Inspector IV

We are seeking a highly skilled Inspector IV to join our team at Collins Aerospace, a leading provider of technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry.
As an Inspector IV, you will be responsible for performing visual and dimensional inspections of parts, subassemblies, and major assemblies to ensure they meet blueprint and specification requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect and Test: Conduct thorough inspections of mechanical assemblies using precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers and calipers, to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Read and Interpret Documentation: Read, interpret, and utilize quality policies, procedures, blueprints, and other documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Perform Receiving, In-Process, and Final Inspections: Conduct receiving, in-process, and final inspections of manufactured, assembled, and tested hardware and components to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
- Operate Computer Systems: Utilize computer systems, such as SAP, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point, to perform inspection tasks and document results.
- Verify Work Order Documentation: Verify all work order documentation for accuracy and completeness to ensure seamless production and delivery.
- Administer Visual and Physical Inspections: Conduct visual and physical inspections of units and subassemblies to identify any defects or issues.
- Document and Communicate: Document characteristics of products accurately and with technical detail, and communicate effectively with other Collins Aerospace personnel any quality issues needing resolution.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in manufacturing and/or inspection experience. In the absence of a high school diploma or GED, 6 years of relevant experience in manufacturing inspection is required.
- Authorization to Work: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Inspection Experience: Experience performing manufacturing or product inspections using blueprints and specifications.
- Measurement Tools: Experience performing measurements with precision measurement tools, such as micrometers and calipers.
- Computer Skills: Knowledge of basic computer software, including word and excel.
- Aerospace Experience: 6+ years in an aerospace or similar inspection role.
- Math Skills: Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and percentages.
- Computer Systems: Ability to utilize computer systems, including input of data and retrieval of information for inspections and configuration purposes.
- Document Review: Ability to review documents and identify and resolve any errors or missing information.
- NDT Certifications: NDT certifications.
- Self-Directed and Action-Oriented: Self-directed and action-oriented with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
