Responsibilities
  • Support a four-person attorney team with administrative tasks, including organizing and managing the Legal network drives, email inbox, and contract management tool.
  • Assist the Legal Department with updating policies and procedures, filing contracts and agreements, and regulatory submissions.
  • Work with the Legal and Compliance Departments on monitoring and tracking regulatory inquiries, audits, enforcement matters, and subpoenas.
  • Reconcile and submit expense reports through Concur for the Legal Department.
  • Organize travel arrangements for the Legal Department using Concur.
  • Maintain the corporate minute book for the Board of Managers.
  • Maintain and update the Signature and Competences List.
  • Perform email searches using Global Relay.
  • Monitor updates to global policies and procedures.
  • Update local Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) for various departments.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience supporting a team of 3+ attorneys and executive team members.
  • Associates Degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Possess a strong working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Litera Compare, DocuSign, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Familiarity with contract management systems (Legsiway, DocuSign, Litera Compare), Global Relay, and Concur.
  • Versatile, team player mentality with a willingness to pitch in on short notice.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Well-organized, reliable, and resourceful.
  • Desire to work cross-functionally and constantly learn new aspects of the position and the business.
  • Ability to work onsite in the Chicago office a minimum of 3 days per week.
Preferred Skills
  • Paralegal certification.
  • Experience in financial services.
