About the Role

Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a highly skilled Litigation Paralegal to join our team in a well-respected Chicago law firm. This position offers a hybrid schedule, allowing for flexibility to work in the office as needed, as well as a competitive salary and benefits package.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute various paralegal tasks, including cite and fact-checking briefs for Federal and State courts.
  • Manage and organize client documents, coordinating the creation of document review databases.
  • Assist in the review and production of documents.
  • Prepare for depositions, hearings, trials, mediations, and arbitrations.
  • Occasionally assist with e-filing, in collaboration with the dedicated docketing team.
  • Maintain professional communication with attorneys, staff, and clients, ensuring confidentiality in all client and firm matters.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal; 10+ years preferred.
  • Paralegal certification is preferred.
  • Experience in e-filing for State courts is required; Federal e-filing experience is an advantage.
  • Proficiency with Bluebook citations.
  • Knowledge of eDiscovery, with a preference for experience using Relativity.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as necessary.
  • Experience handling cases in both Federal and State courts, as well as administrative agencies.
Skills and Abilities
  • Self-motivated with excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and thrive in a team-oriented environment.
  • Working knowledge of Relativity or other legal database software.
  • Familiarity with the Bluebook system of citation.
