About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Surgical Intermediate Care Unit team at Alaska Regional Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to patients receiving care after cardiovascular and surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assessment and planning for individualized patient care
  • Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Communicate effectively with physicians regarding patient's clinical condition and results of diagnostic studies
  • Perform nursing duties as needed in the continuum of care for all patients
  • Participate in process improvement efforts and activities for the department

Requirements

  • Current State of Alaska Registered Nurse License
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification
  • Associates Degree in Nursing required, BSN preferred
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and Certification
  • Previous cardiac and or surgical IMCU experience strongly preferred
