Job Overview

Sundance Kitchen, Baths & Exteriors is seeking a skilled and experienced carpenter to join our team. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for assisting tradesmen, sub-contractors, and craft workers in various aspects of building and maintaining strong and long-lasting structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Aid in the construction and maintenance of buildings and products, taking direction from the project manager as needed.
  • Properly dispose of debris and hazardous materials to ensure a safe and clean job site, adhering to safety regulations and OSHA requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to complete construction projects accurately, adhering to all directions from the construction manager.
  • Operate power tools, hand tools, and heavy equipment as required, including jackhammers, survey equipment, and forklifts.
  • Load, unload, and transfer tools and building materials, such as lumber, tile, saws, sheetrock, grout, etc.
  • Proficient in various carpentry tasks, including rough carpentry, finish carpentry, framing, blocking, drywall installation and repair, trim installation, cabinet layout and installation, door and window installation, painting, and LVT flooring installation.
  • Complete all types of demolition tasks and able to lift and carry 50lbs.
  • Capable of using all power tools associated with the job type.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; trade certification, associate's degree, and/or completed apprenticeship program is highly preferred.
  • Able to work in inclement weather, including extreme temperatures and rain.
  • Solid mechanical skills are needed, as are good eye-hand coordination and depth perception.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Past construction experience, knowledge of construction methods, tools, and equipment, and the ability to understand blueprints and construction plans are required.
  • In-depth knowledge of carpentry tools, materials, and techniques.
