Are you a skilled Maintenance Technician looking for a workplace that appreciates your expertise? Straight Arrow Products, known for its Mane 'n Tail line of innovative skin and haircare solutions catering to both humans and horses, is in search of a proactive individual dedicated to ensuring our production operations run efficiently and safely.
Role ResponsibilitiesAs a Maintenance Technician, you will collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure the optimal functioning of our production machinery. Your primary duties will include:
- Managing start-ups, setups, and changeovers for all filling equipment on the production line.
- Expertise in diagnosing and repairing packaging and labeling machinery, including unscramblers, fillers, cappers, labelers, pick and place systems, and palletizers.
- Conducting daily inspections of equipment and facility systems, troubleshooting and repairing as necessary.
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Performing general maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, lighting, plumbing, and snow removal.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Availability to work core hours from 5:30 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with potential overtime.
- Ability to climb, balance, walk, stoop, crawl, and navigate around equipment.
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs and move over 100 lbs with assistance.
- Experience with moving mechanical parts and occasional exposure to heights and moderate to loud noise levels.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics and repair manuals.
- Familiarity with common tools, precision measuring instruments, and electronic testing devices.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Competent computer skills with a willingness to learn new systems and software.
- Experience with PLCs, particularly Allen Bradley and RSLogix 500 and 5000, is advantageous.
- Knowledge of 3D modeling and printing is a plus.
- Ability to operate milling machines, lathes, and drill presses for manufacturing components is beneficial.
- Experience operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts, as well as scissor lifts.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently or collaboratively to meet deadlines.
