About the JobWe are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our NJMS-Pediatrics-Adolescent Medicine department. The LPN will engage adolescents and young adults in the clinic under the guidance of a physician and Advance Practice Nurse (APN). Key responsibilities include providing clinical expertise in family planning and prevention strategies, assessing, planning, and treating HIV/STI positive youth in the Division of Adolescent & Young Adult Medicine (DAYAM).
Job Responsibilities- Provide patient care according to Rutgers protocols and policies and the professional standards of the American Nurses Association.
- Comply with all regulatory requirements, including OSHA, CLIA, Title X, CDC, DEA, and the New Jersey Department of Public Health.
- Work collaboratively with all clinic staff and managers to contribute to a positive work environment.
- Assist the physician with ordering labs and diagnostics in Epic EHR per follow-up procedures and ensure specimens are collected prior to patient departure from the clinic.
- Possession of a valid registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of New Jersey.
- Phlebotomy and physical assessment skills are essential.
- Thorough working knowledge of regulatory requirements and Good Clinical Practices guidelines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office components, particularly Excel.
- Proficiency in Spanish is required.
- EPIC experience.
The successful candidate will be eligible for benefits, including pension eligibility through PERS. We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 annually, with the potential for growth within the organization. This is a full-time position with a daily work arrangement.
