Job Title: Associate Director, Strategic Pricing

Lock Search Group is pleased to represent our client, a prominent global biotechnology company, as they seek an Associate Director of Strategic Pricing. This role will encompass a wide array of duties including managing revenue, shaping pricing strategies, and developing pricing tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of data from the revenue management system to identify new growth opportunities and improve the efficiency of the commercial program.
  • Utilize system insights and expertise to create reports that inform strategic decisions and drive business growth.
  • Actively contribute to the development of the function by building a network of cross-functional colleagues who can advocate for strategy enhancements.
  • Spearhead the implementation of pricing strategies while analyzing and assessing their success, making adjustments as needed to ensure business goals are met.
  • Test and refine tactical decisions independently to ensure competitive advantage and long-term success.
  • Offer actionable recommendations based on market trends and customer behavior analysis to guide pricing decisions, aligning them with team objectives.
  • Collaborate with team members to create and execute pricing strategies that offer a competitive edge in the marketplace.
  • Apply expertise in pricing analysis and strategic decisions to boost profitability, expand market share, and cultivate lasting customer relationships.
  • Develop and implement pricing models and tools designed to help the sales team meet their targets.
  • Interpret complex datasets and communicate findings effectively across various departments and stakeholders.
  • Leverage knowledge of pricing methodologies and past experience in creating strategies that have driven sales growth.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, health policy, health economics, life sciences, or a related healthcare field; an MBA is preferred.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience, including areas such as market access, pricing, contracting, data analytics, market research, vaccine research, brand/specialty marketing, and account management.
  • Advanced degrees may be considered with equivalent experience: Master's with 8+ years or PhD with 4+ years.
  • Previous experience in the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Medical Device, OR Pharmacy sectors is essential.
  • Expertise in securing coverage and payment for branded specialty products.
  • Familiarity with legal, compliance, and regulatory frameworks in the industry.
