Position Overview
We are currently seeking a dynamic, skilled, and creative maternity leave instructor to teach science to students in 3rd and 7th grades. This role involves collaboration with a collegial and skilled team of educators.
Curriculum Focus
The Middle School curriculum emphasizes experiential learning, where students engage in hands-on projects and participate in intensive discussions that foster critical and creative thinking skills. Seventh graders will concentrate on biology and the use of microscopes.
In the Elementary School, the curriculum also prioritizes experiential learning, encouraging students to engage in hands-on projects and discussions that develop their critical and creative thinking abilities. Third graders will focus on topics such as landforms and water sources.
Candidate Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates who possess a profound knowledge of and appreciation for teaching science. A qualified candidate will demonstrate strong enthusiasm, a deep understanding of middle and elementary school students, and a sense of humor.
This position is essential for providing coverage during maternity leave.
