Medical Records Specialist

At STGi, we are seeking a Medical Records Technician to join our team in providing comprehensive healthcare services to individuals in custody within ICE detention facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, update, and maintain accurate medical records for each patient.
- Maintain appointment systems for patients and clinical staff.
- Track compliance with scheduled patient appointments and make timely reminders.
- Determine coding for relevant medical record forms.
- File and scan laboratory, radiology, and other reports in the electronic medical record.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of one year experience in a healthcare setting.
- Ability to pass a federal government security background check.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to walk unaided for up to 10 minutes and maintain balance.
- Ability to respond to medical emergencies within 4 minutes.
- Ability to perform CPR/emergency care standing or kneeling.
- Ability to assist sick, injured, or aging detainees or staff during emergencies.
