We are seeking a highly skilled Production Control Analyst to join our team at our Portsmouth, RI facility. As a Production Control Analyst, you will be responsible for evaluating and coordinating training needs to better utilize metrics and system accuracy. You will also improve process flows regarding assemblies in progress, material availability, and potential production problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and coordinate training needs to better utilize metrics and system accuracy.
  • Improve process flows regarding assemblies in progress, material availability, and potential production problems.
  • Solve any potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed.
  • Support analysis of multiple and moderate complexity, Bills of Material in an MRP system; releasing work orders and tracking material through the assembly process.
  • Provide support to material supply demand and prepare necessary work orders based on shop load and inventory requirements.
  • Coordinate interdepartmental activities with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, and engineering.
  • Propose solutions to mitigate any work stoppage the factory teams may experience due to any slips in material orders.
  • Lead projects and/or teams to accomplish continuous improvement.
  • Control on-hand material through its life cycle; issue to work orders or projects, returns to suppliers, ships to customers, etc.
Requirements
  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree and 2 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field.
  • Experience with MRP, SAP PRISM.
  • Experience in Material and Inventory Control-type systems such as Kanban, SMI, Continuous Flow Manufacturing.
  • Experience utilizing lean manufacturing concepts.
  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook/Skype).
Eligibility

To be eligible for this SkillBridge Fellowship, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be eligible to participate in Fellowship per DoD Instruction 1322.29.
  • Must be projected to receive an honorable discharge from the military.
  • Must have all TAP and transition requirements completed prior to the start date.
  • Must receive approval from Unit Commander or O4+ in the chain of command.
  • Must be located within a commutable distance or willing/approved to relocate to the job location.
