Job Summary

SigSauer is seeking a highly skilled Senior Controls Engineer to design and implement PLC-based machine control systems for automated and semi-automated production equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, PLC programming, and robotics integration, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement PLC-based machine control systems for automated and semi-automated production equipment.
  • Program and integrate robots for assembly and machining operations.
  • Support existing PLC and robot-based equipment to maintain factory throughput.
  • Communicate with mechanical engineers to generate concepts and detailed sequence of operations.
  • Manage multiple projects to synchronize with mechanical hardware delivery.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
  • Proficiency with multiple PLC software packages, including Allen-Bradley and Mitsubishi.
  • Extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a team, lead, plan, and execute multiple projects.
Working Conditions
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer using a keyboard and mouse.
  • Ability to open file cabinets, reach with hands and arms, bend, and twist, lift and move files.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
