Job Overview

Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance of Idaho is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Insurance Professional to join our team. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for establishing relationships with local businesses and individuals to sell insurance products.

To succeed in this role, you will need to stay updated on industry trends, services, and customer needs within the insurance sector. You will also be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, overcoming objections, and meeting customer requirements promptly.

The ideal candidate will have a strong motivation to achieve financial success and actively seek out prospects. You will also need to be licensed in property, casualty, life, and health insurance to sell. Travel throughout the region to conduct face-to-face meetings is also a requirement.

Responsibilities
  • Establish relationships with local businesses and individuals to sell insurance products
  • Stay updated on industry trends, services, and customer needs within the insurance sector
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, overcoming objections, and meeting customer requirements promptly
  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with existing customers and potential clients
  • Collaborate with underwriting, call center associates, and internal teams to ensure a smooth customer experience
  • Pursue continuous education and training to maintain current certifications
  • Participate in relevant events to promote Farm Bureau Insurance of Idaho and expand professional networks
Qualifications
  • Licenses: You will be required to be licensed in property, casualty, life, and health insurance to sell
  • 1-2 years of outside sales experience is preferred
  • A strong motivation to achieve financial success and actively seek out prospects is essential for this role
  • Travel throughout the region to conduct face-to-face meetings
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Cold calling experience a plus
