Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement news content strategies to engage audiences and drive ratings.
- Produce and edit news content for broadcast and digital platforms, including writing, researching, and conducting interviews.
- Collaborate with news anchors, reporters, and other producers to develop and execute news content.
- Manage and coordinate news coverage, including assigning stories, writing scripts, and editing video.
- Develop and maintain relationships with news sources and contacts to gather information and insights.
- Stay up-to-date with current events and news trends to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Work closely with the news director and other senior producers to develop and implement news content strategies.
- Manage and maintain newsroom software and equipment, including show rundowns and scripts.
- Ensure that all news content meets NBCUniversal's standards and guidelines for quality and accuracy.
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field.
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience as a News Producer, preferably in a broadcast or digital news environment.
- Excellent writing, research, and interviewing skills.
- Strong knowledge of newsroom software and equipment, including show rundowns and scripts.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with a team.
- Fluency in Spanish and English, with the ability to read, write, and speak both languages.
- Master's degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field.
- Experience working in a fast-paced news environment, with a strong understanding of news trends and current events.
- Knowledge of digital media platforms and social media trends.
- Ability to think creatively and develop innovative news content strategies.
