Lead Product Owner with Agile Expertise

Vaco is seeking a Senior Agile Business Analyst/Scrum Master/Product Owner for a long-term consulting engagement with a prominent enterprise client.

**Candidates must reside in the metro Atlanta area as this is a hybrid position requiring in-office presence 3-4 days per week.**

***This opportunity is available only for W2 candidates; no Corp/C2C or third-party applications will be considered.***

The ideal candidate will possess over 10 years of experience in effectively applying Agile methodologies across diverse work environments and leading agile development teams. This role is pivotal in steering the successful delivery of software implementations.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with business partners and stakeholders to:

  • Identify, capture, and document measurable deliverables to be maintained in the Product Management Backlog.
  • Determine which deliverables fall within the scope of each project phase, ensuring that delivery teams utilize JIRA boards effectively to align work with Product Management goals.
  • Negotiate adjustments to deliverables and timelines as necessary.
  • Serve as the primary contact for business inquiries and clarifications regarding deliverables.
  • Support Business Analysts through knowledge sharing and introductions as required.
  • Review Business Analyst documentation for quality and content.
  • Assist the Workflow team in transforming business deliverables into structured flows.
  • Participate in sprint demonstrations and retrospectives.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Acting as a servant leader for the team.
  • Implementing best practices and processes.
  • Keeping all stakeholders informed and on track.
  • Introducing Agile engineering practices.
  • Facilitating daily stand-up meetings and other scrum ceremonies.
  • Assisting the Product Manager with backlog preparation and prioritization based on estimates and dependencies.
  • Removing obstacles and impediments to progress.
  • Guiding and coaching the team on Agile practices.
  • Teaching and mentoring Agile teams to foster an agile mindset.
  • Drafting policies to support agile methodologies.
  • Determining appropriate tools, reports, and metrics for standard measurement.
  • Building agile maturity and fostering self-organizing teams.
  • Engaging with stakeholders to generate business value.
