Job Summary

First Bancorp is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Credit Analyst II to join our Corporate Banking Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for underwriting and credit analysis of Corporate, Commercial Real Estate, Middle Market, and ABL loans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loan Underwriting and Credit Analysis: Evaluate and review loan packages, financial statements, tax returns, appraisals reports, environmental reports, and other related loan information and supporting documentation to determine feasibility and credit risk of granting loans.
  • Credit Approval Memorandums: Prepare Credit Approval Memorandums (CAMs) for presentation to applicable approval authority committee.
  • Customer Communication: Maintain continuous contact with Relationship Managers, Agent Banks, and customers as needed to provide information on transaction status, discrepancies, and resolve problems, concerns, or doubts.
  • Loan Policies and Procedures: Assist the Corporate Banking Department concerning loan policies and procedures, quality control matters, loan review, and underwriting.
  • Independence of Judgment: Reports must be completed by specified deadlines.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Minimum of two years in a banking environment and/or credit field.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, proficient at typing, understanding of financial information and loan documentation, able to handle stress, flexible working hours, attention to detail, and good communication skills.
Work Environment

Employees in this role work in an office environment with a comfortable room temperature, good lighting, and quiet conditions. They may be required to work extended hours, including holidays, should these coincide with company events.
