Restaurant Operations Manager

Job Title: Shift Leader
Job Summary:
As a Shift Leader at Taco Cabana, you will play a key role in ensuring the success of our restaurant operations. You will be responsible for leading a team of hourly employees, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service and high-quality food products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise restaurant hourly team members on assigned shifts to ensure product quality, operational efficiency, and optimum guest service.
- Assist in planning and supervising completion of all job task assignments and ensure adherence with safety, food safety, sanitation, and security procedures.
- Provide training and development opportunities to hourly team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Assist the management team in maintaining restaurant equipment and facility per company guidelines.
- Perform regular administrative tasks, including register and safe audits, deposit of company funds, and proper accounting of restaurant funds.
- Investigate, resolve, and respond to guest complaints.
- Attend regularly scheduled store, market, and company meetings, training sessions, and stay current with all federal, state, and local certifications.
- Recommend disciplinary action for hourly team members.
- Monitor the interior and exterior cleanliness of the restaurant at all times and initiate clean-up as needed.
Requirements:
- At least 6 months of restaurant experience.
- Good customer service skills and ability to perceive and react to the needs of others.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to read company instructions, orders on screen/receipts, and written materials.
- Ability to operate a cash register and basic mathematical skills.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Must pass Shift/Team Leader training and be certified.
Work Environment:
The work environment is a temperature-controlled restaurant with a low to moderate noise level.
