Key Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Conduct thorough medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests to inform treatment decisions.
- Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests as needed.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including ordering and interpreting laboratory and imaging studies.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure informed decision-making and optimal patient outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, technologies, and best practices to provide evidence-based care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or related field.
- Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or eligible for certification.
- Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in the State of Maine or eligible for licensure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
