Maine Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic Critical Care team. This is a full-time position with a day/night rotation or full-time nocturnist schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily rounds on patients with a team of fellows, residents, and students.
  • Develop and implement care plans, order and interpret diagnostic studies, procedures, admissions, discharges, and family meetings.
  • Participate in research and quality initiatives for Medical Critical Care, Neuro Critical Care, and/or Surgical Critical Care patients.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to provide high-quality patient care.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's and Master's Degree required.
  • Successful completion of accredited Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Postgraduate training program in critical care or related specialty OR equivalent experience.
  • Current license issued by the State of Maine or eligible for licensure.
  • Current BLS certification.
