Job Title: Client Engagement Specialist

Community Solutions, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and passionate candidate to fill the role of Client Engagement Specialist, for our Day Reporting Center located in Santa Maria, CA.

Job Summary:

The Client Engagement Specialist will primarily be responsible for client supervision, client safety, coordinate and develop community service projects. Our Day Reporting Centers in Santa Barbara, Santa Maria and San Bernardino, CA provide a community-based alternative to incarceration for clients on parole.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and actively participate in community service projects with clients at each work site.
  • Serve as a role model to clients modeling pro-social behaviors.
  • Maintain a ratio of one (1) staff to eighteen (18) clients.
  • Document community service hours performed by each client in the agency data collection system(s) on the day the work is performed.
  • Participate in mandatory Statewide Projects. This may involve extended hours or an extended work week.
  • Directly supervise safe handling of tools and other related equipment.
  • Create and maintain a calendar of scheduled community service projects on the client bulletin boards monthly.
  • Coordinate transportation, meals, and emergency situation responses at community service sites in accordance with Agency policies and procedures.
  • Identify and develop new community service projects.
  • Maintain an inventory of all community service equipment. Make recommendations for replacement of damaged equipment.
  • Assess transportation and equipment needs at the request of the supervisor.
  • Conduct weekly safety and sanitation inspections of all internal and external areas of the facility.
  • Maintain client files and ensure compliance with Agency policy regarding confidential information. This confidentiality must be maintained even if you are no longer an employee of CSI.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of and abide by the Agency's programs, policies, procedures and code of ethics. Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma and three years' experience working in trades, with public and/or people in need.
  • Possess sound judgment and decision making skills.
  • Good oral, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license, clear MV record.
  • A valid Public Service License is required for driving Agency vehicles.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.

  • Two (2) weeks' vacation accrued within the first year, bumped to three (3) weeks accrual after 1 year of service.
